Dayton Fans Make The Dragons The Highest Attended Minor League Team

The Dayton Dragons are the most attended Minor League Baseball team in the country.

Let that sink in for a minute, because it really is a big deal. The Dragons released the news this week that they lead all of minor league baseball in average attendance for 2022. Not just their league, but all minor league levels adding up to more than 120 teams.

If you’ve every been to a Dragons game, then this might not come as a surprise at all. The crowds are almost back to pre-covid levels, and the team had another great season. Dragons President and GM, Robert Murphy commented on the accomplishment.

The Dragons have the best fans in all of sports, and they support us like no other team. We thank all our fans including our season ticket holders, our corporate sponsors, and the entire Dayton community for lifting the Dragons to the top of the attendance rankings

Dayton averaged just over 7,900 fans at each home game this season, and if you think this might be some kind of anomaly, guess again. Dayton has lead the attendance numbers in Singe-A clubs in every single one of their 22 years of existence.

If you ask any one of the Dragons players or management, they will tell you that they have the best fans in the country, and it’s hard to argue with them. If you’re already missing Dragons baseball, don’t worry, they’ll be back in April. The team just released their 2023 home season schedule, and you can see that here.

We know it’s going to be a long winter, but baseball will be back soon. Let us know what your favorite part of going to a Dragons game is.
