‘Deadpool 2’ Returns to Theaters as PG-13 Christmas Movie?

You’ll be able to watch a special PG-13 edit of Deadpool 2 in theaters from December 12 through Christmas Eve.

“Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds told Deadline on Monday. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

It appears that this new edit will incorporate the bedtime-story scenario from 1987’s The Princess Bride.

Fred Savage spoke on the proceeds benefiting the F— Cancer charity, which has been temporarily renamed to keep with the PG-13 theme.

“While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary. I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab.”
