Time to check the fridge again – yet another recall of ground beef has been announced, this time over possible salmonella contamination.

The recall applies to 12 million pounds of raw ground beef, packaged under several brand names including Kroger, Cedar River Farms, Grass Run Farms, Gourmet Burger, Comnor Perfect Choice, and Showcase. All the recalled products will have “EST.267” stamped on the label.

So far more than 246 people in 26 states have been sickened by the tainted beef. If you have any, throw it out or return it to the store it was purchased from.

Why do you think we’ve been seeing so many beef recalls? Does it make you think twice about buying any more?
